Snow and Covid

16 April 2021

1022

R. Linda:

It has been a rather eventful month. Tonya went for her second COVID-19 shot and ended up in hospital. She has recovered but it was quite an awful time. A fever of 104.9 makes for scary times.

Do you remember Ms. Jaio? She got Covid playing . . .  badminton! I know how is that possible? But she did, she's recovered, very weak still, but doing well. She is scheduled for her first vaccine shot soon.

Me Mam got her second dose of Moderna and spent the next day asleep but that was it. I have my one dose of J & J and besides a sore arm and being told alarming symptoms to watch out for, I am just fine. I have to wonder how your bad self is since I've heard notta from you.

You will be happy to know it is snowing heavily and we have what looks like 6 inches of the white stuff outside. The snow has completely covered the daffodils that were blooming. And here I was getting used to the warm weather and ready for outside work. Reprieve! Yeah, I feel awful about that, LOL.

For your viewing pleasure so you can laugh

I have the wee one who just started back to school this week, the other two are still remote. The mask mandate here ends this afternoon but the Covid numbers continue to rise, so why are we doing away with the masks?

We are all experiencing motivation depredation. None of us feel like doing anything, but we must and we do, though it seems tempers are more inclined to flare than ever before.

There was Easter came and went and very quiet. There are wood ducks in our pond, two couples and one couple of mallards. Odd to see them all together, so I was misled that spring was really here.

I have heard from practically no one and I assume they are in the same unmotivated boat as we are.

Nothing funny or fun happening and sorry to be Donnie Downer but such be the way of life at the moment.

That's a lot of snow! Loved your menu for St. Pats, and the burned trousers was highly amusing though Ben is lucky he didn't set himself on fire.
