Oi, oi, oi! Sometimes me job be so ridiculous even I have to shake me head. Last summer I covered a minor story of a young man who had an altercation with his sister. It got heated and said sister picked up a kitchen knife and to make her point (excuse the pun) stabbed her brother. Mother called 911 for both ambulance and police. Sister was carted off for a few months while brother recuperated.
Now sissy is out and living home with her mother who takes personal responsibility for daughter. Brother though, wants to stop by and visit Mum. Yes he does and yes he did and what happened? Sister was in the kitchen and you know what was sitting on the counter when last summer's argy started again and before you could say Jack the Knife, sissy was catching brother in the arm which it would have caught him in a more vulnerable place if he hadn't turned in time. SIGH.
So here it is: Bart Bartoloni (don't laugh that's his name) escaped injury, aka being killed, last summer when his older sister Arianna allegedly threatened him within an inch of his life with a kitchen knife in one of her several brushes with the law this year. He was lucky again this week, when she confronted him a second time. She was taken into custody in connection with the disturbance at the home of her mother, where she was living.
Authorities said Arianna was charged with domestic violence, criminal mischief, and attempted murder. A few hours after the police were called around 4:30 to Mo Lester Lane in Roxbury. Seems Bart got into another argy but this time with his MUM! Bart was charged with causing unspecified damage to the property which is the dwelling of his mother Inez Bartoloni. Bart also faces charges in Charlestown where he was apprehended around midnight of the same night after fleeing a traffic stop. Officials couldn't immediately be reached for details. Hum.
What be going on? Can't we all just get along? LOL Apparently not. And I thought me family was a case. At least when I got into argys with me sainted sister Sheila, she didn't chase me around the kitchen table with a knife. No, she was more inclined to wait for me to screw up so she could point it out to the entire family. I do wonder if humiliation is worse than a knife thrust though. A knife wound will heal, but humiliation, that sort of sticks around for family reminisces when you've forgotten the awful incident, but your family hasn't. SIGH.
